Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc (24-29 August)
3 countries on foot (France, Italy and Switzerland). 166kms, 9,400m climb, the current record being 21 hrs 6 mins.
Trail des Aiguilles Rouges (26 September)
One of the most famous amateur races in the Chamonix Valley, a 51km run with 3900m of ascent. Starts in Chamonix, finishes in Vallorcine.
La fanfare de Garmisch Partenkirchen (03-05 September)
Under the twinning theme, the Fanfare of Garmisch Partenkirchen is a Bavarian floklore festival, animating the Chamonix streets.
Ski jumping tournament (16-19 September)
