Ski Hire









We have negotiated with a number of different hire shops to provide discounts for all Mountain Base clients.  The shops have been chosen for the service of the staff and the quality of the equipment.   

Cham Sports, Chamonix (20% off listed price)

One of the larger shops in Chamonix, Cham Sports have 3 outlets in central Chamonix with a large range of skis and boards (Dynastar, Rossignol, Salomon, Volkl, Head, Nordica, etc):

  • 87 Place de Chamonix Sud (in the main square of Chamonix Sud)
  • 120 Place du Poilu (opposite the Saturday market)
  • 432 Rue Joseph Vallot (on the back road to Argentière)

Technique Extrème, Chamonix (10% off listed price)
Great value hire for beginners and intermediates, Technique Extrème are based in Avenue d'Aiguille du Midi by Chamonix Sud.  They have the added advantage of staying open during lunch (!) with skis and boards from Salomon, K2, Atomic and Rossignol.

Cyprien Sports, Les Houches (10% off listed price)
The largest shop in Les Houches, a few hundred yards from the Bellevue lift (244 Rue de l'Essert).  There is a good sized parking area at the shop with equipment from Salomon, Dynastar, Rossignol, Head and Nordica.

Rental properties

At Mountain Base, we have one of the largest ranges of Chamonix holiday apartments and Chamonix holiday chalets to rent in the Chamonix Valley, from les Houches, through Chamonix itself, to Argentiere and le Tour. All our rental properties are offered as self-catered accommodation, some flexibly and some by the week. The properties are all independently owned and looked after by Mountain Base and our Chamonix resort partners.
