Chalet Silva is situated at the foot of the Le Tour ski area approximately 50m from the La Vormaine beginner slopes. The chalet is part of Chalets de la Vormaine, a complex of four luxury chalets, sharing underground parking and gardens, built in the Le Tour hamlet.
Chalet Silva has been completed to a high standard and is spread over three floors and a mezzanine. The ground floor has four bedrooms; two double bedrooms (both ensuite), a twin room and a bunk room with up to three beds. There is a separate bathroom and a washer/dryer area. The first floor has a large living area leading directly onto the south west facing balcony which has outside table and chairs. The living area has plenty of comfortable seating, a log burner and CD player (with iPod connector). This opens to a large dining area with a stylish wooden dining table and a well equipped kitchen which includes fan oven, halogen hobs, microwave, fridge/freezer and plenty of storage in a larder. There is also a WC on this level.
On the mezzanine floor there is a double and two single sofabeds, as well as an entertainment area with a flat screen TV, with Sky Freeview and DVD player, a collection of over 100 DVDs and a number of games and toys for children and adults. The basement has a further shower room with a four person sauna. The basement leads to the ski locker room and the underground car parking. There is WiFi broadband in the chalet.

Chalet Silva is in the heart of the hamlet of le Tour, a traditional Savoyarde village at the top end of the Chamonix Valley. It is 11 kms from Chamonix itself, with Argentière just under 3 kms away (5 minute drive).
There are a couple of bars/restaurants in le Tour, a short walk from the chalet. The nearest supermarket and bakery are in Argentière, plus a good selection of shops, restaurants and bars.
Chalet Silva is literally metres from the La Vormaine nursery slopes. The main le télécabine is 200 metres away giving access to the whole of the Domaine du Balme ski area, meaning the chalet is in a rare ski-in, ski-out position. There is also a bus stop very near to the chalet for access to the rest of the ski areas.
There are a couple of bars/restaurants in le Tour, a short walk from the chalet. The nearest supermarket and bakery are in Argentière, plus a good selection of shops, restaurants and bars.
