Paragliding

Fly high above Chamonix on a tandem parapente (paragliding) experience. Flights are available all year with the exception of November, and take off is usually from either the Plan d’Aiguille (half way on the Aiguille du Midi cable car) or the mid station at Brévent (Planpraz).

Helicopter Flights

Fly over the spectacular Mont Blanc massif, hover beside soaring cliff faces of glacial ice and enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery in the Alps. An experience not to be missed! There are a number of different flight options available:

Circuit of the Aiguille Vert - a 10 minute panoramic flight that circles round a magnificent pinnacle of ice and rock at the dizzying height of 4122m (13524ft), cruising past the breathtaking views of the north face of the Drus. View the flight path.

North Face of the Grandes Jorasses - a 15 minute tour of one of the most mythical peaks of the Alps, Les Grandes Jorasses at 4203m (13790ft) View the flight path.

Mont Blanc Summit - a 20 minute journey to the summit of the highest mountain in the Alps. At 4807m (15770ft) you will have incredible views of the legendary glacier and beyond into the mountain ranges of Italy and Switzerland. View the flight path.

Mont Blanc Massif - a 30 minute opportunity to view Mont Blanc in all her glory as you circle round the most famous mountain range in Europe, soaring past peaks of over 4000m (13123m). View the flight path.

Heli-Skiing

Heli-skiing isn’t actually permitted anywhere in France, however thanks to Chamonix’s close proximity to Italy and Switzerland you can hop across the border with a Chamonix based adventure company and experience the thrill of skiing in the backcountry. The closest place to heli-ski is the Val Veny, just on the other side of the Mont Blanc Tunnel. Contact us to find out more and how to book.

The Chamonix Valley is pretty dramatic when you’re walking around the streets or on the trails, but seen from the air, it’s even more spectacular. Paragliding and helicopter flights are available to do year round (weather permitting) whilst heli-skiing is only available in winter and in neighbouring Italy or Switzerland since it’s not permitted in France.
