The hotel is situated in the centre of Chamonix, a one minute walk to the north end of the pedestrianised high street, close to restaurants and shops. A bus stop is just in front of the hotel and the train station is a 5 minute walk away. The closest ski area is Le Brévent, and you can easily walk to the Savoy ski slope in less than 5 minutes, which leads up to Le Brévent.
