This fabulous, quality chalet has a spacious living area and large enclosed grounds, ideal for a peaceful and private family holiday. Situated in a popular residential area, the local bus stop is 200 metres from the front door and has services to all the lift stations and the main shopping street is a 15 minutes walk away. Ultimately, Chalet Les Favrands offers stylish and comfortable accommodation with a hot-tub and breathtaking views of Mont Blanc.

Bedrooms

The chalet sleeps up to 12 people in 5 bedrooms and a separate apartment (additional cost). There is a maximum of 10 separate beds available, configured as follows:

  • Bedroom 1: Flexible double or twin room (first floor) with en-suite bathroom with separate shower and WC
  • Bedroom 2: Flexible double or twin room (first floor) with access to a shared shower room with WC
  • Bedroom 3: Flexible double or twin room (first floor) with access to a shared shower room with WC
  • Bedroom 4: Double room (ground floor) with access to a separate shower room with WC
  • Bedroom 5: Flexible double or twin room (open mezzanine floor) with access to a separate shower room with WC
  • Apartment: Double bedroom with separate shower room with WC. The supplement for the apartment is €275 in the winter season and €200 in the summer season.

Our opinion

Two things that set this chalet apart from others for us is the space and privacy you get for the location, which is walkable to town. Added to this is the separate apartment which offers fantastic flexibility for groups. The lovely large garden is perfect for children to play in and the terrace is wonderful for alfresco dining whilst taking in the mountain views.

Location

Chalet Favrands is located in the popular Favrands residential area of Chamonix, a quiet location to the south west of the town centre. Rue Paccard, the main shopping street in Chamonix, is a pleasant 15 minute walk (1200 metres). The nearest supermarket is Marche U in les Pelerins, 500 metres away. The nearest bars and restaurants are the Jekyll and l'Impossible (600 metres), with many other facilities in Chamonix itself. For access to the slopes, it is recommended that guests have a car for the most flexibility, in this location. The main bus stop is 650 metres away along Route des Pelerins, with a local connecting bus close to the chalet.

Ground Floor Entrance hall with storage and stairs leading down to large utility / laundry room. A door from the entrance hall leads into the open plan living area with dining table, kitchen and pantry. Sliding doors lead onto the south facing terrace and large garden. There is also a double bedroom with an adjacent shower room. Steep ladder stairs lead to a mezzanine bedroom which has flexible beds. First Floor 3 flexible bedrooms, master bedroom with en-suite and access to the balcony. The 2nd bedroom also has access to the balcony and shares a shower room with the 3rd bedroom. Basement Large utility / laundry room. Perfect for ski and equipment storage. *Optional independent apartment Entrance opening into kitchen area and open plan dining/lounge area. Separate bedroom and shower room with WC.

"This beautifully equipped spacious alpine chalet is ideal for a skiing holiday. Set back from the road in a tranquil setting and yet only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Chamonix, where you will find a wonderful array of bars and restaurants. It is a short walk to the bus stop, which takes you to the three main ski areas of Brevent/Flegere, Grand Montets and Le Tour. Buses run regularly and are very reliable (so don't be late!). We really appreciated using the hot tub, which enjoys magnificent views of Mont Blanc, after a hard day on the slopes! Well worth getting up early to visit 'La Boulangerie' which is less than five minutes walk away and serves a delicious range of pastries and breads. The only thing missing was Sky Sports package on the TV. We had a brilliant week, and I would not hesitate in recommending this chalet to all my friends."
