Meet the Team
Andie SYMINGTON
Andie moved to Chamonix in 2004 when she, her husband Andy and their business partner Matt founded Mountain Base. Andie runs Rentals alongside Meg and Jemima. Although mainly concentrating on admin, she is always available for enquiries and delighted to have continuity with the many guests who have been returning for over two decades.
Bringing up two sons in this beautiful valley has been amazing. With hiking, biking, tennis, swimming and more in Summer and miles of pistes in Winter, Andie had plenty of options to keep young people busy! On top of that, she loves the French way of life - fresh bread form the boulangerie, outdoor living and the importance of getting togther with friends and family.
Top tip: People often associate Chamonix with extreme sports but it's also really family-friendly!
Meg FULLER
Meg has been based in Chamonix since 2013 and was delighted to join Mountain Base in 2015. She now runs Mountain Base Rentals and Chamonix Prestige with Andie, Jemima and an excellent team who do their utmost to ensure that guests have a fabulous stay. She is on hand to help with anything from recommending the most suitable property, advising owners on their rentals and answering any questions before or during a stay.
Meg loves the mountain lifestyle and is an avid rock climber and trail runner. Having completed a number of the races in Chamonix and surrounding areas, she's a good person to talk to about the trails in the valley. Although she adores the summers, she enjoys skiing and ski touring in winter.
Top tip: The view from Refuge de Loriaz is worth all the effort it takes to get there!
Jemima WATERS
Jemima moved to Chamonix in 2012 and joined the Mountain Base Rentals team in 2017. Her role has evolved over the years and she now helps manage the business alongside Andie and Meg. Jemima is responsible for a lot of the technological aspects of the business including the website. She also coordinates the services team alongside Satu.
Adina COMSA
Adina began working with Mountain Base in 2019 and in 2022 she became the property manager for our Chamonix Prestige range of chalets. Adina ensures the efficient running of these properties for a comfortable and relaxing guest experience.
Carrie CRAIG
Carrie has been based in Chamonix since 2018 and joined the Mountain Base team in 2021. She looks after the finance and purchasing side of things at Mountain Base, liaising with owners and suppliers to ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes..
Jade HAMER
Jade moved to Chamonix in 2020 and started working for Mountain Base in 2024. Her role is reservations administration for Mountain Base and Chamonix Prestige to ensure guests receive high quality service. Jade will be able to answer any questions you have about a property you are interested in.
Laura VERRES
Laura discovered the Chamonix valley in 2017 and since then the mountains and the lovely community convinced here to start a new adventure here. She started working with Mountain Base in 2021 helping the services team with property checks, organize pre-arrivals and meeting and greeting guests.
Laura is also an International Mountain Leader and she will be very happy to offer you some suggestions and tips for many memorable hikes during your stay. She fills her spare time with as many adventures as possible, either split boarding and snowboarding during winter, or in summer discovering new mountain routes and sceneries whilst bike-packing or hiking.
Top tip: Enjoy the sound of nature and the immensity of a starry sky while spending a summer night up in a mountain refuge.
Leigh-Anne BURNS
Leigh-Anne moved to Chamonix in 2019 after only experiencing one vacation here (be careful people, it is capturing). Her role with us has evolved over this time from starting as a Cleaning Manager to now focusing on our Concierge Service with Chamonix Prestige.
Leigh-Anne moved to Chamonix after experiencing the way of life, understanding that balance between work and the outdoors was needed. Arriving in Chamonix as a road runner, she now enjoys the numerous sports that are possible to do in the valley. She also loves travelling and feels she is in the prime location to either do it on her doorstep or go to the neighbouring countries Switzerland and Italy.
Top tip: We are very lucky to have quality restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, etc here in Chamonix so we have plenty of recommendations for you. Food is fuel and you will need a lot for all the activities.
Ovi LAZAR
Ovi joined Mountain Base in 2022. He works alongside Will in ensuring that our properties are all maintained to a high standard and fully stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Ovi is also on our meet and greet staff and will welcome you to our properties.
It took one visit to get Ovi hooked on Chamonix. He visited in 2011 and made it his home in 2012. Ovi chose Chamonix for the multiple sports the valley has to offer and the diverse, exciting international community. He is regularly in the mountains, so he will be able to give you all the latest information on conditions.
Top tip: Hire a guide and do the famous Valley Blanche off-piste route from the Aiguille du Midi all the way to the ice caves at the bottom of the Mer de Glace.
Mitch (Ghit MADALIN)
Mitch is Mountain Base Rentals housekeeping manager. His role is to coordinate and support the head cleaners to make sure the properties are ready for guest and owner arrivals. He is often whizzing between properties picking up and delivering linen and making sure they are well equipped with the provisions we include for self catering.
Mitch moved to Chamonix because it is a place where the winters are longer which works well for his love of snowboarding. In the summer he is often found playing basketball on the track at the sports centre and generally enjoying the positive summer vibe.
Top tip: Wear a helmet and respect the mountain.
Roxana MOGA
Roxana moved to Chamonix in 2011 and work as Mountain Base Rental’s Property Manager between 2014-2022. Roxana now works for Mountain Base on a consulting basis to assist with maintaining the high standards of all our rental properties. Roxanna’s excellent language skills enable her to communicate easily with all our guests and suppliers.
Outside of work, Roxana not only loves the mountain sports the valley has to offer, but also its many festivals and events that contribute to Chamonix’s international and convivial atmosphere.
Top tip: Enjoy a relaxing evening at the QC Terme Spa in winter or a sunny afternoon at the Olympic outdoor pool in summer. Both have great views of Mont Blanc!
Satu KATAJA
Satu coordinates the services team to ensure the smooth running of guest logistics and property management. She is also on hand to answer any questions you may have about your holiday or the Chamonix Valley.
Satu moved to Chamonix from Finland and has been living here since 2007. She loves the international atmosphere of the valley and enjoys a range of activities including skiing, hiking, climbing and cross fit. However, to switch off she'd recommend a bit of knitting. She makes fabulous scarves!
Top tip: Have a unique and amazing experience swimming in the mountain lakes of Lacs des Chéserys and don't miss the Accro Park in summer.
Will CORDER
Will joined Mountain Base Rentals in 2019. Will is very handy with tools and is responsible for helping maintain our properties to a high standard. Thanks to his previous Super Yachts experience his attention to detail is second to none.
Will loves the mountains and previously lived in Chamonix between 2000 - 2007 when he completed the Tour du Mont Blanc and climbed the infamous Mont Blanc! In his spare time Will enjoys both skiing and snowboarding, as well as mountain biking and road cycling.
Top tip: In summer take children to Le Paradis des Praz's relaxed, shady play area and cafe next to crystal clear streams.
