Our opinion

With no more new-build projects in Chamonix itself, the Les Houches sector is increasingly attractive. The appeal of Collines des Chavants is its location, a quiet area in the sought-after Chavants sector, the sunniest part of the Chamonix Valley with impressive views of the Mont Blanc range. Add to that its proximity to the Prarion lift, the Chavants lake and direct access to hiking and biking trails, it would make a strong rental investment as much as an appealing place to live.

Location

The residence is in Les Chavants, an elevated area beyond the Prarion ski lift with wonderful open views up the Chamonix Valley and across to the Fiz. It has excellent sunshine hours and is a peaceful, largely residential area.
The lift and lake are just over a 10-minute walk (700 metres), or a 2-minute drive. By the lift, there is a bus stop and bakery (season only) with a selection of restaurants/cafés a further 10-minutes on foot. The nearest supermarket is in Les Houches village itself, a 5-minute drive away.
