Located midway between Mont-Blanc and Lake Geneva at an altitude of 1000 metres, Morzine is surrounded by forests and mountains. With a preserved Haute-Savoyard culture, Morzine rubs shoulders with its close neighbour, the contemporary resort of Avoriaz, two perfectly complementary resorts in the heart of the Portes de Soleil ski area.

Just 1 ½ hours from Geneva, Morzine is ideally positioned for both winter and summer holiday, with lots of entertainment on offer - skiing, live music, gastronomy, mountain culture, architecture.

The resort sits in the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area, one of the largest ski areas in the world, connecting 12 resorts offering more than 600 km of skiing. With a Swiss side and a French side, the ski area is a melting pot for the two cultures. From the centre of Morzine, you can access the Morzine-Les Gets sector on skis and via the Super Morzine gondola, you can quickly access Avoriaz.

Morzine offers a whole range of activities for the whole family including snowshoeing, tobogganing, trapper outings, caving, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, swimming pool, ice rink and skate park.

In the summer, outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers will find what they are looking for in a variety of activities, including mountain biking (Morzine’s considered one of the best spots in Europe), hikes in the heart of sumptuous landscapes and rafting.

Morzine is a lively village with lots of shops and restaurants, sports clubs and a cinema. Night owls won’t be disappointed either, thanks to the numerous pubs and bars. The village really is a life-size playground.
