Chalet Capricorne is a beautiful, alpine chalet which perfectly combines modern design with traditional materials. Situated right by the golf course and 225m from the bus stop the chalet is located in a peaceful setting with exceptional mountain views. Chalet Capricorne boasts a private garden, large terrace, sauna and hot-tub.

Bedrooms

The chalet sleeps up to 10 people in 5 bedrooms. There are a maximum of 7 separate beds available, configured as follows:

  • Bedroom 1: Master double room (1st floor) with en-suite shower room with WC, TV and access to a balcony with Mont Blanc views
  • Bedroom 2: Double room (1st floor) with en-suite shower room and access to a separate WC
  • Bedroom 3: Double room (ground floor) with en-suite shower room and access to a separate WC
  • Bedroom 4: Twin or double room (ground floor) with, TV, French windows leading out onto the terrace and access to a bathroom/WC shared with room 5
  • Bedroom 5: Twin room (ground floor) with access to a shared bathroom/WC shared with room 4

Our Opinion

Chalet Capricorne is a wonderful property in a quiet location, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. It offers fantastic outdoor space, be it on the sunny balcony with dining furniture or in the spacious lawned garden. It is just 3 minutes walk from the local bus stop so access to the Chamonix valley couldn’t be easier. For us, the fact that this chalet also has a sauna and hot tub is the icing on the cake - it’s the perfect way to relax after a day in the mountains. Chalet Capricorne is a great all year round property due to its proximity to the Flegere lift and the golf course.

Location

Chalet Capricorne is close to the beautiful traditional village of Les Praz, just 3.5 kms east of Chamonix town centre. There is a village store, tabac, a couple of restaurants and bars within quiet walking distance (1 km). The nearest supermarket is in Chamonix, which is just 5 minutes by car or bus. For access to the slopes, Chalet Capricorne is 1.2km from la Flégère ski area (1 minute drive), which is in turn linked to the Brévent ski area. The chalet is a 5 minute drive from the Chamonix Valley's most famous ski area, les Grands Montets and further up the valley is Le Tour (10 minute drive). The nearest bus stop for access to all the ski areas is 225m away and the train station at Les Tines is 650m away. The woodland setting of the chalet and the views from the balcony make it a beautiful experience both in the summer and winter. Chalet Capricorne is the perfect chalet for up to 10 searching for a stylish chalet in a more serene location, yet with the option of a couple of restaurants and bars in walking distance.

Upper floor On the first floor there is a large open plan living area. Glass doors open onto a south facing balcony. Steps from the balcony lead down to the hot tub and garden. There are two double bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms and a balcony from the master bedroom. There is also a WC and a small office area on the landing. Lower floor The entrance hall has a large coat cupboard and a WC. There are three bedrooms; 2 twin rooms, one of which is flexible ie can be made up as a double, with a large family bathroom opposite them and a double room which has an ensuite shower room. The sauna and fitness room are also on this floor and a utility room which has a washing machine and tumble dryer.
